The Domaine of the ' Baies Sauvages' (literally 'Wild Grapes') is the result of a family's passion over generations for the production of wine from the very special soils and climate around Nizas.

From 18 Ha (about 42 acres) on the rocky slopes around Nizas, wines are made which are now being offered direct to you for the first time from their own cellars.

Rosé, AOC Coteaux du Languedoc.
This is an aromatic clear 'crystalline' wine with a perfume of the Mediterranean woodlands around Nizas with a hint of the wild flowers of the 'garrigue'.
A well balanced wine, fruity and long and full in the mouth.
Wonderful to drink any time, chilled, a perfect wine to accompany any light meal.

Red, Merlot, Vin de Pays d'Oc
Bright, ruby red wine, sparkles in the glass. With a perfume of violets when first tasted, then subtle tastes of red fruits, strawberry, blackcurrent and blackberry appear.
A good full wine, strong yet gentle, a good round wine to accompany meat and cheese.

Careful replanting with 'Noble' grape varieties and produced to the rigorous AOC standards of this region, Emmanuel Thalic and his wife will welcome you to their 'cave' to taste and buy two of their wines.
