Ole, Ciao and Jolly Good Show

You can read this newsletter online from http://nizas.com/newsletters/may06_4/

Fernando Alonso in the Renault F1 won the Monaco Grand Prix - my son helps build this wonderful car in a complex just outside of Oxford UK - the design and construction is all British and the Engine is built in France, the genius behind the team is Italian and Alonso is Spanish, makes me proud to be a British/French/European family. From what I hear Alonso is liked and respected by everyone working with him - good to see Red Bull on the podium as well. Now for Silverstone this weekend.

In these newsletters I try to answer questions and write about useful things for people who visit or live in France - it all started a long time ago and I have been involved in moving, educating kids, rushing to hospitals, renting properties, making a living, fighting bureaucracy and now selling and marketing properties and developments.

This is all getting boring for a lot of people, so - I will be splitting the articles and things I write about into special targeted newsletters.

This one will be the general newsletter about life and living in France. It will talk about a variety of things and cover items I hope are of general interest. You can also read about me and my family in the Our Life in France This Week section - or not if you prefer.

I am also writing other specific newsletters about

Fractional Ownership in France

Leaseback Property in France

Renting Out Your Home in France

At the end of this newsletter you can go to a page to select and modify which newsletters you receive, but be careful not to unsubscribe. ===

Tony
Thanks for your newsletter - it's read avidly by we three anglophones in the house. Three out of four (the other a Frenchy) ain't bad. Do you think any of your readers might be looking for short term accommodation in Toulouse over the summer? My daughter (a student) has a greatly positioned fully-furnished studio about four minutes walk from La Place du Capitol and will rent it to all and sundry for 240 € a fortnight or 400 a month.
Thanks for your help Tony and have a happy summer. Cheers,
Annie Johnson anniejayis@aol.com

We are getting a lot of interest about buying Fractional Ownership property. This is a safe way to invest in the freehold property market, you have a positive decision making input in the management and a share of the gains while, at the same time minimising the costs and work of running a home in another country. I am planning a book on this subject, its working title is "The Fractional Ownership Handbook" it will cover not only the hurdles and pitfalls and the diversity of opportunities worldwide, but also be a directory of all the listings where you can join like minded people to share and exchange homes for hundreds of other locations - even luxury cars yachts and private planes, all I have to do is finish the research and write it.

Most of the information I get will be put on http://nizas.com/ so if you are thinking of Buying, selling or renting property in France this is an important subject to know about and the best site for information and advice.

I try to make this newsletter useful and cover all aspects of living in France or visiting France. In eight years of writing many of you have become friends and it has been a pleasure meeting some readers, especially when they turn up with a bottle of wine. I will put my own thoughts and observations in a separate column each week so if you prefer not to hear about my life, likes and loves - you can skip past it.

Do write to me, about anything you like (or do not like) mailto:tony@nizas.com
