Courage, and shuffle the cards

There is a game where you nominate the guests you would most like to have to a dinner party. They can be alive or dead, real or fictional characters.

One of my number one guests would be Lola Montez. A real person from the 19th century, I discovered her from the Flashman novels (Harry Flashman is also on my guest list along with Kate Moss, Lilian Gish, Mae West, Abby Lee and Jessie Matthews).

Anyway, Lola Montez was in some amazing and dangerous situations in her life, when faced with an impossible choice she said "Courage et battre les cartes" - it seemed to work for her. Our life has been "interesting" the last two years and continues to offer new "challenges" so - I shall follow the example of one of my heros and "shuffle the cards" again.

The new hand I have dealt looks as if I am about to be an immobilier - for years in my webblogs I have criticised the integrity of estate agents, so I plan to show the world that there can be good guys in the business and plan to be working with other honorable people in the profession.

I am already working with a team on the Riviera http://coast-country.com/ and I am adding new services for Fractional Ownership and other property in a brand new site which will be launched next week, so for the moment you can still find out about the opportunities at http://nizas.com/

My old vacation rentals business http://rentalsFrance.com/ is back online again. I do not like their new website much, it is prettier but most of the innovation we added has been destroyed and I cannot find anything as there are no maps. However I can work with them to get things moving.

Back in hospital next month to have an exploding artery replaced, the scan looks like a cross between an old inner tube and a pretzel, so a couple of weeks of rest and catching up on old movies, luckily French hospitals provide a bottle of wine with the meals. Thanks to Google I worked out my survival is about the same as being in the Army in the First World War, hmmmmm.

The kids are doing fine, Jack is back from two weeks intensive basketball training, Mimi from a month near New york and Clio back from seven weeks in central London working in a design company as part of her degree course.

My oldest son, the one building the F1 Renaults, gets married later this month so we are off to the UK for a few days and my eldest daughter Belle is working with child welfare groups, she goes back to univ after the break - I am very proud of all of them.

Other guests at my dream dinner party are; Rasputin, Betty Boop, Uma Thurman, Sun Tzu, David Bowie, Picasso, Van Gough, Hatshepsut, Kandinski and Rolf Harris. At least if I left a load of pencils and crayons lying around I could sell the napkins for a fortune afterwards.

So I am shuffling my cards and hope to deal myself a good hand.
