Tony,
Thank you for your continuing excellent e-mails. They really are something to look forward to.
Your membership may be interested in the http://www.sanef.com web site. As a family that travel to the south of France each year on holiday we have always been envious of those French drivers who nip through the Telepeage toll booths leaving the rest of us to queue for ages to pay (the one South of Lyon can take over 30 minutes if you catch it at the wrong time). Well after my wife read a letter in the Daily Telegraph on this subject I visited the above web site. The Telepeage box is available to all nationalities. It costs 30 euros (which is a refundable deposit on the box that sits in your windscreen), 3 euro postage and a 2 euro standing charge for any month you use it (first 3 months free). Monthly charges are made to your credit / debit card. You are issued with a user name and password and can view all your travel details online. I ordered mine on a Sunday in June and it arrived on the Thursday. We have just returned from 4 weeks in France and it was excellent - not a single stop at all the toll booths. I really do not know why more French drivers do not use it.
Keep up the good work.
Colin
