Bed and Breakfast in France

For the seventy six million visitors to France every year, perhaps the most traditional place to stay is in a French Chambre d'Hote - or Bed and Breakfast.

Many people from other countries dream of coming to France and opening a Bed and Breakfast and many make this dream come true, so a visitor has a huge choice of accommodation.

When Carole and I first came to France in the early 1990s we put more bathrooms in out 10th century ruin and started a BandB. Really I wanted to start a photography school and teach Zone System black and white stuff, but we got so busy that I only ever ran one course, after that we were full up with hundreds of guests, many have become good friends and are still in touch with us after many years.

I will be adding links to good places I know, especially our own new accommodation near Pezenas when we have finished it, but, for now, here are a couple of links to places I know and to people I like very much

Paint France In Lodeve - You can take a painting course with David MacEwan or just stay in their warm and friendly accommodation - this is a very special place.

Vigniamont In Pezenas - This is a classic, wonderful people, great food and wine and luxury surroundings

I do try to reply to all mail - Contact Me - most is about property or living in France. I publish comments in this newsletter which I believe are of interest and may help find answers for people wanting to come to France. I hope readers will go to the adverts which help support our overheads.
